Accessibility Guide

All three cottages have a ground and first floor, and we've set out the detail below so you can judge for yourself whether a cottage will work for you. If anything here isn't enough to go on, please call - we're always happy to talk it through, arrange large-print information, or help with anything else in advance of your stay.

Arrival & parking

Level tarmac parking sits in the courtyard, around 15 metres from each front door. Front doors have a small step (15cm at Elgar and Harewood, 4cm at Grosvenor); door widths are 74cm at Elgar and 97cm at Grosvenor and Harewood.

Ground floor

Elgar and Grosvenor are open-plan dining and sitting rooms; Harewood has a hall/lobby entrance (83cm door) leading to an open-plan dining/lounge (74cm door). All three have short-pile carpet or wood-effect flooring, moveable furniture, and a 32" smart TV.

Bedrooms & stairs

Elgar's master bedroom is reached via 15 stairs (80cm wide) to a king-size four-poster bed. Grosvenor and Harewood are reached via 14 stairs (80cm wide) to super-king and king-size beds respectively. All staircases have a single handrail and short-pile carpet throughout the first floor.

Bathrooms

Door widths are 69cm (Elgar and Grosvenor) and 63cm (Harewood). Each has a bath with a flexible shower and a safety handle or handrail.

Kitchens

Worktops sit at 90cm with a drop-down oven, 90cm sink and good, even lighting with strong surface contrast throughout.

Grounds

The walled garden has level, graveled paths and grassed areas, with benches at 44cm seat height and a picnic table with fixed benches.
