Health & Safety Policy

We review the safety of the lodge and grounds regularly, and every cottage is covered by fire alarms, extinguishers and fire blankets in the kitchen, emergency lighting and a strict no-smoking, no-candles policy.

Around the grounds

Steps and gravel paths are kept clear of debris, and the two ornamental ponds are covered in our booking terms so parents and carers can supervise children accordingly. Deliveries and farm animals occasionally cross the courtyard - please take care and keep to marked paths.

Inside the cottages

Each cottage has a mix of floor coverings and the odd unexpected step - lighting is kept good throughout and handrails are fitted on all staircases. Electrical installations and appliances are certified and tested on a rolling schedule.

Cleaning products

We use environmentally friendly cleaning products wherever we can, stored well out of reach of children, and keep bleach to a minimum out of respect for our septic tank system.
