Before you ask

The questions guests actually ask

Linens, towels, bath robes, toiletries and kitchen consumables - dishwasher tablets, foil, cling film, kitchen roll and so on - are all provided, along with a welcome hamper of provisions: tea, coffee, milk, sugar, fruit juice, bread and butter, cereal, marmalade, eggs and fresh fruit.

Arrive any time after 3.30pm. We ask guests to vacate their cottage by 10.30am so it can be serviced to a high standard for the following guests.

We do welcome two dogs to Grosvenor, so please call to discuss. We plan not to have more than two visiting dogs at one time, and two of our cottages welcome pets. We are dog lovers ourselves and have a Labrador.

Absolutely - we adjust the welcome hamper accordingly. Just tell us when you book.

We have a travel cot and highchair available at no extra cost. It is a great area for children to explore - on the doorstep is a spacious park, usually with grazing sheep.

Sainsbury's, Morrisons, Tesco and Asda all deliver here. Our local village shop in Lea also delivers.

There are three pubs about a mile away in different directions - the Crown Inn in Lea is the closest. Do note it is very dark in the area at night with no street lamps, so walking after dark is not easy. On the plus side, there is very little light pollution and the dark skies are a bonus.

We are always happy to help with ideas and advice - it matters to us that you have an enjoyable stay and the chance to sample some delicious local produce.

Absolutely. We encourage guests to enjoy the open space, peaceful surroundings and well-stocked gardens.

There is a hairdryer in every bedroom. In Elgar, the hairdryer is in the bathroom.

Ask our regular guests - they are still discovering new places to visit and things to do even after many previous stays.

Yes - a padlocked bike storage shed.

Yes, we have easy, allocated level parking at the lodge.

Yes - a guest laundry room available 24/7 with a Miele washing machine and tumble dryer.

We have an EV charger for guests (a supplement applies). If you drive an EV or plug-in hybrid, please pre-book the charger so a suitable parking space can be allocated to you for your stay.
